It's J.T. Snowkiewicz
redsoxbloggers welcomes the second coming of doug mientkiewicz in the form of j.t. snow. as someone who lives 20 minutes from sbc park and attends 7 or so games a year, i can bear first-hand witness that j.t. snow is a great pickup for the sox. the guy is a gold-glove-freak on defense and can be blazing hot at the plate for five to ten game stretches throughout the season (especially when he is seeing good pitches in front of a great hitter). granted, his plate-work can also stink like a dead body at times, neverthless, he is a class guy, great glove, streaky hitter, and a big-time competitor who wants a ring. this is a great pickup. kudos to the front office.

Going back to 1996 - the Giants pulled a steal - it was JT Snow straight up to the Giants for P Allen Watson to the Angels. Watson washed out after one season in Anaheim.

At least he won't let the ball go between his legs ;) And that should count for something with Red Sox fans!
